Up gradation of research infrastructure at WRTC was carried out to set state of the art lab facility to do monitoring and research work. The center is equipped with Chemistry and Instrumentation laboratories with state-of-the-art facilities required for physicochemical monitoring of water quality. The Biotechnology laboratory has facilities for PCR, microbiological culturing, FIB monitoring, and molecular analysis of microbial communities. Biology Lab is involved in phytoplankton and macrophyte monitoring from Chilika Lagoon.
